ABC- Where are you right now?
EL- Ridnaun, Italy. I'm here to race the first IBU cup tour.
ABC- What are your goals for the season?
EL- Podium on the IBU Cup, finish top 30 on the World Cup and qualify for World Championships.
ABC- What has been the best race of your career? Why?
EL- When I was 2nd place at the IBU cup in Canmore, 2015. I got to race on my home course in front of my friends and family and all my coaches that have supported me over the years! The sunshine and blue skies didn't hurt either!
ABC- What's your favorite thing about living in Alberta?
EL- Cheap gas, the Rockies Mountains and getting to be a part of Canada's largest and fastest growing biathlon community.
ABC- What has been your involvement with ABC?
EL- I have helped coach some of the ABC summer camps and mentor younger athletes at Canadian Nationals.
ABC- Give us one funny story from your biathlon adventures?
EL- Once on a training camp in Europe, I was out for a training run and saw some friendly looking cows. Julia and I tried to reach over the fence to pet them without realizing it was electric. I still don't know who was more surprised by my shriek when I touched it, Julia or the cow...
