January 15, 2010. Calgary, AB. ABC has been hosting a series of biathlon demonstrations for the kids from the St. Marguerite French School at the range in Canada Olympic Park. Boys and girls from grades 7 to 11 experienced the live biathlon "action" with shooting drills and relay races. Air rifles were used for all demonstrations. 

This was a great way to introduce the sport to the youngsters and fire them up for the upcoming Olympic Games. Now, we confidently say that these kids will know what biathlon is come February and will not mistake it for any other Nordic sport. We can only hope they watch a few Olympic races to see the "real action"...
