Call for volunteers: Alberta Biathlon Club is in need of your help. ABC casino is coming up in August (2-3) and we're looking to fill quite a few positions (mainly cashiers, chip runners and count room staff) on both Thursday, August 2 and Friday August 3. We would really appreciate your support with this so that we can continue offering and delivering quality biathlon programs (races, camps, demos) for the youth and adults in Alberta. Camrose Camp Notice: Camrose Camp 2012 registration is now OPEN! Please check our camps section for details. Camrose Camp is limited to only 42 athletes, so please register early to ensure your spot as this camp sells out quickly. There will be no additions to the final number of participants, so if you missed the registration you missed the camp.

Dear members of Alberta's biathlon community! Alberta Biathlon Club would like to thank its members, athletes, parents, volunteers and supporters for helping us make the 2011-12 season a success. An abnormally mild winter didn't seen to hinder our passion for snow and...guns as we cruised through the season with only a couple of event cancellations. In the next little while our website will be going under "the knife" as we are looking to implement a few changes and make it a little more interactive and a bit more informative. So, please pardon any glitches that you may experience while browsing www.albertabiathlon.com. 

On another note, ABC will be starting its summer planning at the end of the month as we are looking to again run a number of summer camps as well as races and competitions this year. So please check back with us regularly for more details and updates on our programs.

As you may be aware, Biathlon is a highly popular spectator sport, particularly in Europe, drawing huge audiences in both the stadium and on TV. However, the sport of biathlon is not as well known in Canada. Alberta Biathlon Club is a sports organization that promotes self-development and leadership among Albertans of all ages through competitive and recreational biathlon. The Alberta Biathlon Club is a member club of Biathlon Alberta, the provincial governing body. The ABC Club supports individual biathletes, biathlon clubs and coaches across Alberta through programs aimed at all levels of experience.
